Fashion X Oceans created a space for fashion innovators to have conscious conversations, with the aim of bringing forth creative solutions to restore our oceans from the damage fashion has caused.
Yes...The Fashion industry is undergoing an awakening; becoming truly environmentally regenerative, and socially and economically inclusive!
The conversations were global: From Italy, “A New Awareness” to Spain’s @Ecoalf we examined “Ocean Upcycling”: How waste can be turned into a fashion statement, and the conversation continued with Vanity Fair Italia Editor, @evageraldine. “How to wear your values”
Diving into the sea w/ @thepangaia , we found natural materials for activewear, and used our environmental intelligence to care for our clothing as defined by THE CHIEF CARE OFFICER, Nora Gherbi @thequeenofcare & Vogue Editor @markogm
Then we traveled to NYC to meet journalist @tansykaschak & Actress @natkelley where they discussed, “What a Conscious Fashionista to do in 2020?”
We decoded the term “Intersectionality” with Harvard Alumni, @timmyfab and @climate_creatives, and learned about @carrysommers exploration at sea.
The new wave of consciousness continues to unfold with @manjitmeditation @evageraldine, @lilianliu, @sara.k.arnold @marcizaroff @rvmkibbs , @thecanvasbyq, @alexilubomirski @carolalvarez64 + more
